In addition to properties located within River Hills, there are many additional homes on the lake that range from large homes to small fishing cabins. Of course, since living on the water is so popular, sometimes it requires time and patience to find the perfect lakefront home. There are also many beautiful communities within easy driving distance of the lake as well as several marinas where local residents or visitors can moor their boat.
The communities of Lake Wylie and River Hills were established in 1970s and have grown steadily ever since. Lake Wylie is a beautiful lake on the border of North and South Carolina where residents and visitors enjoy the pleasures of boating, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming or a beautiful sunset view.
The area is served by the Clover School District No. 4, one of four school districts within York County. The schools offer students an excellent education. The district is repeatedly ranked as one of the best in the state in a wide range of areas and its students consistently score above their South Carolina peers on both state and national tests.
